Fathers Day

Thank you everyone for the grad congrats. These past few days shave been non stop, I think I went to sleep at about 3 every night. Yesterday for fathers day we went and had a relaxing day at the beach. Nathan and Dad caught 11 fish which they later cooked for dinner (I did not have any).

Hopefully we will see some of you in a couple weeks, if not have a good summer!

Happy Father's Day!

Hi Dad,

Bob got breakfast in bed this morning. If you had been here you would have had this meal plus a side of beans!

Love you! Sounds like you all are having a festive time in California.

Mom and Dad's visit

We have had a great week with Mom and Dad. Tui and I commented that it seems like a vacation week. On Wednesdday we had Nicole's graduation party. On Thursday and Friday we cooked with our new barbecue. Yesterday we went wine tasting in a limo. Today we are going to the beach for an afternoon picnic.

Happy Father's Day

Chris made blueberry pancakes for Dad today (while Nicole and Nathan slept). Happy Father's day to everyone.

A Big Day

Yesterday, Nicole graduated on Tui's birthday.  The graduation ceremony was on the lawn outside the school followed by a big celebration at home.

another (shorter) bike ride

Inspired by the last post and by Obama's campaign ("yes we can") I put the 1970 3-speed Sturmey-Archer Moulton in the Jaguar boot then drove to D&B for the Jaguar's yearly spring cleaning and waxing, then bicycled to school in 90 degree heat against a southerly head wind (1.7 miles) then after work bicycled home (3 miles) still 90 degrees but no headwind. The Moulton is a cute little bike (we bought it at a police auction in 1972?3? for $17), and is still on the road (very occasionally) with the help of new tyres. It will go out again to the cottage in the boot of a car, where I think Tui and Nathan had used it most recently (that is, within the last 5 years or so.)

Fortunately Nicole was around to pick us up.
