Puerto Morelos

Getting ready to snorkel

Barracuda - caught and released

Lots of good eating and exercise.  Some changes in town (many more beach bars and less open space) but our old favorites, like the "windy place" are still the same.  Missy has rose petals in case Syd and Cam want to be flower girls.

Belated Thanksgiving Post

We are back from a nice visit for Thanksgiving and beyond - wish Sarah and family could have been there.  After loading up on turkey on Thursday, we went to the Promenade for Black Friday where Nicole and Nathan loaded up on clothes. The twins got back from Seattle in time to see their cousins and we all went to the pier and to our traditional Pub lunch on Saturday.  During the week we visited parks with the girls and babysat when each was sick for a day.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Wish We Were There!

Bob started brining the Turkey 3 days ago, has the pumpkin roasted and pureed, and the cranberries steeping. My contribution to the feast today is asparagus, and Mom's Turkey stuffing.

We had a good (though short) visit with the girls yesterday.

London skyline is changing - looking east from Waterloo Bridge you can still see St Pauls and St Brides

Lunch at Tate Modern before seeing Klee exhibit

Christmastime already - one of many windows at Fortnam and Mason. Regent street was also decorated.

Gouls, Ninjas and Nina

I think we now have about 15 pounds of candy in the house. Ben spent yesterday evening on the couch with a migraine, and a vomit bucket as a result of too much Halloween candy.... He considers it to have been a great success this year.

We have a new dog, Nina. She's really a good girl. Friendly with all, attentive, and playful with Lottie.

Honolulu

Our quick 3 days in Waikiki has been fun but not our usual.  We went to Pearl Harbor the first day which was very moving.  They left the USS Arizona in the water where it was blown up and built the memorial over the top of what was left of the ship.  You could see it under water and a few parts above water.  Second day we hiked up to the top of the Diamond Head Crater.  The pictures are from that hike.  You can see Waikiki in one direction and the beautiful wild shoreline in the other.  Today we went to a sales pitch for Marriott Resorts.  It turned out well as there was no pressure at all and we had a fun afternoon snorkeling and eating and drinking up the $75 credit they gave us for going.  It was a beautiful place but not as interesting as Puerto Morelos.

Family Weekend 2013

This past weekend was Family Weekend here at The University of Arizona. Mom and Dad of course came but this was Nathan's first time visiting in over 2 years since I have been here. We had a pre-tailgate party at my house where my mom made fried rice and chicken curry which was a huge hit. A lot of our friends brought their parents and then we all went to the PIKE fraternity house together to continue the festivities. The next day my parents moved hotels to stay at the JW Marriott Starr Pass hotel which has a great pool and hiking trails.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of you guys during Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Here's Cam and Syd peering at the beach on Monday morning.  Cam is ready for pre-school and Syd is staying home because she had a bad cold (almost better now).  Last week, Cam was sick and Syd got to go to pre-school without her sister.  Both girls did great at pre-school on their own.

The move back into the building!

Melissa and the babies moved into the building on Saturday.  I spent the last few weeks getting it ready for them.  Living room view reflects pre-move and post-move appearance.  Here' s Cameron making good use of the castle furniture prominently located in the middle of the living room!

Hello everyone! School is approaching its 3rd week and everything is finally falling into place. The "DG Dozen" aka my new home for the next 2 years has been a blast! I am living in the above garage 2 person apartment with my friend Nicole. Our place is mostly finished except for we need to get some pictures and decorations for our living room.
As far as school goes my classes have been going really well. I am in a Gender Woman's Studies class this semester which is very interesting. A lot of my classes are focused on a lot of online reading and quizzes so I have a lot of free time this semester.

Hope everyone is doing well!
