Our time at the lake is almost at an end. The big excitement has been a red squirrel in the house. It has greeted us on several mornings from the top of the bookshelf. Liam caught it with the camera when we scared it into the bedroom. We bought a "Have-a-heart" trap and caught it while we were in Stratford, but it escaped when we put it overnight in the shed so it is still at large and came in again today.
The boys have become very steady on the paddle boards.
We have a pellet gun you can borrow.
ReplyDeleteWhen we returned from dropping Sarah an boys at the airport the trap was sprung but empty. So we reset again. This time I heard it go. It was a chipmunk who is now in a field a couple of miles away. I am now sitting outside by the fireplace hoping to spot the entry point. Our cottage seems to be rodent hotel.
ReplyDeleteDid you see anything yet? Ben says we should send you Nina.
ReplyDeleteNothing yet. Maybe we could borrow Rosie.
ReplyDeleteTim saw the squirrel go in next to the chimney but we haven't seen it inside.
ReplyDeleteMom,
ReplyDeleteWhat's the update on the rodent situation?
It's still coming in even though we filled the hole Tim saw it using. Maybe it's stuck inside. We'll try again this weekend to catch it.
ReplyDeleteTim and the girls left yesterday, right? Must be pretty quiet.
