Nearly all set up in Texas. The site is taking shape in Plano. We have a network and Email addresses. Our internet site should be up in a week or so. Much colder here than in San Diego with often a strong wind. I will need to get all of my sweaters out of storage. Our site borders on a small pond. Lots of great birds always present and prior to the cold spell, the turtles would come up onto the logs by the bank Twice I have seen a bob cat stroll by the window.
Ben wants to know what your business does? What will you be making?
ReplyDeleteVery cool office space Chris. Just you describing your pond has made me want to come for a visit. Bob's company has an office in Plano, so he has work buddies there. We may come for a look see next fall.
Is that a real Remington sculpture? Or, a reproduction? Did you know Remington was from upstate NY? There is a fantastic little museum dedicated to him in Corning NY.
Your office looks beautiful. The pond and the creatures it attracts must be very interesting and distracting.
ReplyDeleteA little distracting but also allows a nice break from staring at the computer. Otherwise the geography is pretty boring here. Very flat and very populated.
ReplyDeleteI believe the statue is a replica. Steve (my coworker) picked up at a garage sale years prior. He said that someone came through selling them to all the hotels and in fact there was one at the holiday inn where I stayed the night we arrived.
We are going to focus on Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits or MMICs. These are semiconductor products used in RF systems like radios, cell phones, radars, and other types of product. Our initial focus is going to be on defense and space business. I'll send a link to the website when available. Examples of a competitor can be seen at custommmic.com.
Ask Ben if he notices anything peculiar about the cow.
ReplyDeleteIt did take prompting, but we see the state of Texas on the bull's forehead. Does your company have a name?
ReplyDeleteCan someone fill me in? Why are you in Texas, Chris? If you're starting your own small company, great idea and congrats!
