We are the happy new owners of a Volvo S60 T6.
It is really lovely and very "functional" -- we are reading the book that came with it:360 Pages!
Fortunately the book for the navigation section is only 86 pages long. including a section about teaching the machine to interpret our verbal instructions. One navigation system is physically getting the car from one place to another. The second is a menu for getting from "infotainment" site to another, as we have a free introductory sirius system. We may come to regret that we only spend about 25 minutes in the car every day, going to work and back. Quoting Cammy "Too many pages"

It looks beautiful. Does it have voice recognition?
ReplyDeleteIt has voice recognition with the navigation system but we haven't figured out how to use it. It recognises the key in your pocket and unlocks when you touch the door handle.
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks very stately and with a great reputation for safety. I can only hope it runs better than the 1970 version! What year is it?
ReplyDeleteIt's a 2012 car with 22,000 miles and a 4 year warranty.
DeleteI have been studying the 2 pages in the instruction book that describes how to work the wipers and washers. There is one major caution on the second page, to be sure to deactivate the rain sensor when passing through a automatic car wash. Apparently there is a small icon on the right hand stalk below the steering wheel to be pushed to turn it on but only if the car is in "ignition mode II and the windshield wiper level is in position 0". But why would anyone want to use an automatic wiper run by a rain sensor? Possibly this is one of those brain-teaser games that will boost the IQ of aging Volvo drivers: Not a bad idea!
