On our way back from San Antonio last month we stopped by the Comal River. This is the shortest river in the world (so the locals say) and is fed by spring water. It is very clear. They have set it up for tubing with runs that take from 1 to 4 hours depending on where you get in or out. While there, a convoy went by with a beer keg in the center. Also several snorkelers and scuba divers. The water stays near 72 degrees year round.
That looks like a lot of fun. We should come visit you soon. You have managed to make Texas look and sound like an eco-tourism destination!
ReplyDeleteThe nice thing about Dallas is there are amazing places within 2 to 8 HR drives in every direction. Can go from the Gulf to Big Bend To Roswall to Ozarks. The bad thing about Dallas is most of the nice places to be outdoors are at least a several hour drive. Suggest meeting in Austin and planning a fun adventure.
DeleteI'd definitely like to go to Big Bend sometime.
DeleteLooks beautiful.
