The addition is going up very quickly. A roofer just arrived this morning to take advantage of today's blue skies. I have been delaying posting the remodel as I've been waiting for a clear day to take a picture looking South from our upstairs sitting area. We will have a spectacular view of Mount Ranier, as well as some of Elliot Bay, and the city. Unfortunately, this time of year Ranier stays hidden in mist and clouds most of the time. The addition ultimately will be balanced by a gabled roof over our porch. Also, there will be windows in the upper gable as well as decorative gable vents.
Your construction is surely moving fast. I couldn't figure out what I was looking at inside.

ReplyDeleteWell, I think in 2 more months we should be done, maybe sooner. It's hard to anticipate as everything seems 3/4 finished. The windows went in today, but we still haven't ordered the windows for the front dormer, and Liam's window was the wrong size. Lots of little things like that...

ReplyDeleteLiam jumped on a nail yesterday. It went through his sneaker and into his big toe. Ben feels like the hero as he took Liam's shoe and sock off and exposed the dripping wounded toe, and then ran inside for help. I just saw Liam at school and he was hobbling along surrounded by sympathetic first graders.
