I had guessed that 'elm' is Janice though I don't know why that's her "handle." I thought perhaps she thinks of herself as the stately Elm tree (and of course I agree she IS very stately.) Or, it's an abreviation of Elmwood Ave. where she lived for so many years? Or, her name is really Elizabeth Laurie Madhu.... So which is it?
