We had a "surprise" party for Ben last evening which was a great success. Unfortunately, his friend Max could not resist telling him about the party in the afternoon, so Ben knew about it! He did a good job of pretending though. Grandma Jan is in town. She was a big help receiving guests while I was off with Ben on an 'errand,' and Bob was getting the pizzas.
I feel relieved to not have to plan another birthday party until next April (except my own of course, I turn 50 this year.)
